November has been a frantically busy month at ECS as we merge in the staff and clients of Ronald J. Borden & Company, Ltd. We believe this merger will be a successful one as the core values of both firms are very closely matched. We take pride in giving you the assurance that the personal assistance you receive comes from years of advanced training, technical experience and financial acumen. Our continual investment of time and resources in professional continuing education, state-of-the-art computer technology and extensive business relationships is indicative of our commitment to excellence. As one firm, we will continue our commitment of providing close, personal attention to our clients.
As a part of the merger, ECS welcomes as Partner, John S. Hasmonek, who received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with Honors and Highest Distinction from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Illinois in 1976. Mr. Hasmonek is a Certified Public Accountant with over 38 years of accounting and tax experience. His areas of expertise include financial statement compilations, reviews and audits, ERISA audits, financial projections, business and personal tax preparation, management consulting, and personal and corporate tax planning.
We also welcome as Principal, Ronald J. Borden, who received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois in 1969. He also received a Bachelor of Arts from University of Iowa in 1964. Mr. Borden is a Certified Public Accountant with over 45 years of accounting and tax experience. His areas of expertise include IRS and Illinois Department of Revenue audits, financial projections, bank negotiations, business and personal tax preparation, management consulting, and personal and corporate tax planning.
In addition, the merger brings along eight dedicated staff members offering various levels of experience. We are looking forward to a smooth transition for staff and clients alike!

Monthly Illinois wage report for October due (employers with 25 or more employees)
December 15th –
4th estimated tax payment for 2014 due for Corporations
December 31st –
Monthly Illinois wage report for November due (employers with 100 or more employees)
